On June 16th, eight of IMPEL+’s Innovators took to Boston, MA to participate in the IMPEL+ Greentown Labs Building Tech Pitch Day. Following a year of virtual programming, this event was marked with excitement, as Innovators and investors alike were finally able to meet in-person.

Greentown Labs provided welcoming remarks, followed by Innovator pitches before an audience of corporate ventures and investors. The IMPEL+ companies being represented that day included:

IMPEL+ gave closing remarks, with significant time left for Innovators and investors to network with one another. Priya Thomas, CEO and Research Scientist at ShowerStream, remarked that this event put her in touch with strategic players. “Getting connections through networking is a priority, especially since we will be entering Series A shortly. I especially found the networking event very valuable.”

Both organizers and attendees of the event noted a high level of polished pitches from the Innovators, and a “good energy” in the room, largely attributed to making in-person connections in a post-pandemic environment. 

Greentown Labs will continue to provide programming, learning opportunities, and community to the eight participating Innovators for an additional six months, as part of its partnership with the IMPEL+ program. 

The Building Tech Pitch Day was a great display of IMPEL+ and Greentown Labs' shared vision, to create opportunities for Innovators to network, market, and grow, all while fostering innovation in climate technologies across the US.
