Job Opening: Intern
Project title: How to drive critical public-private market formation towards accelerated building decarbonization technology adoption
Project description: The IMPEL program is developing a research publication on novel approaches on how to drive critical public-private market forming towards accelerated building decarbonization technology adoption, overcoming barriers to de-risk technology, team and business models, through IMPEL experience, surveys, case studies, and additional analysis.
Intern’s role: The intern will participate in several activities depending on when they join the team:
Perform a literature review, understand, and summarize learnings from literature and case studies as identified by the team, then find more as needed and relevant to the course of research.
Review and provide input on the key stakeholder interviews and survey questions and methodologies to ensure the right questions are being asked, and that they are clear.
Identify relevant and potential startups, investors and clean energy technical experts outside of the IMPEL network for interviews and surveys.
Potentially help conduct preliminary interviews and surveys, and synthesize early learnings.
Incorporate learnings from literature review, case studies, interviews, and surveys into a detailed outline.
Potentially write sections and poster presentation of an early draft.
Intern can expect to learn: Explore what role the DOE & National Labs can play to address market barriers for building decarbonization technologies, what has been accomplished and learned to date, and ways to continue breaking market barriers. Also, research experience contributing to a DOE publication.
Specific academic majors applicable to project: Policy analysis, public affairs, management, marketing, energy efficiency, political science
