EarthX E-Capital Summit

April 20 - 22, 2022

EarthX–through the support of the Austin Technology Incubator (ATI)–hosts an annual summit that includes a 2 day conference with leading speakers and panelists in the sustainability and climate and investing fields. Beginning in 2021, ATI partnered to mentor and shortlist IMPEL Innovators for:

  • The ATI E-Capital Connection, where investors and startups are matched in one-on-one meetings. In 2021, 60 companies were selected from across the globe to participate in the E-Capital Connection, where nearly 400 meetings were scheduled with 50+ investors.

  • The EarthX Climate Tech Prize competition, in which early-stage climate tech companies with no more than $500,000 in dilutive funding and annual revenue less than $250,000 are invited to pitch to investors, and have a chance at a $20k prize. In 2021, three IMPEL teams were selected as semi-finalists.

Greentown Labs-IMPEL Pitch Day

June 9, 2022

In collaboration with IMPEL, Greentown Labs hosts a building tech pitch day featuring selected Innovators. The event is a platform for strategic connections between the startups and Greentown and IMPEL’s combined network of corporates, public agencies, investors, and others who can play a key role in startups’ success. Through the summer and fall, these startups will have continued access to certain aspects of Greentown's member-only programming.

FLASH Accelerator with Austin Technology Incubator

Led by the Austin Technology Incubator at the University of Texas, FLASH is a summer accelerator that picks the most promising emerging IMPEL teams and helps them confront their next market-driven milestone. Over two months, these selected teams go through a series of workshops and working with mentors to build their startup. The program ends with a Decision Day, where based on individual research and expert feedback, teams determine whether their venture can survive the real world and make a go or no-go decision.
