Breaking into the Climate Tech Market: Five IMPEL+ Innovators Land Recognitions at EarthX Summit; Watch Them Present at ATI Flash Decision Day
After a successful round of competition and recognition at the EarthX E-Capital Summit this April, five of IMPEL+’s Innovators are making their way to the next milestone in their tech-to-market journey: The Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) Decision Day, where Innovators will present their building technology projects to Austin’s ecosystem of investors, entrepreneurs, technologists, researchers, policy makers and startup program managers. People working in design, construction, and operations of buildings and infrastructure are also encouraged to attend! Through ATI’s FLASH accelerator program, these five IMPEL+ Innovators convened over 6 weeks to delve into insights provided by their experiences at EarthX, received mentoring from ATI’s TEXVMS Mentor program, received hands-on experiential training, and learned how to navigate go/no-go decision points. The outcome of FLASH will be for each IMPEL+ Innovator team to emerge fully equipped with an entrepreneurial toolset to tackle and overcome common business and commercialization pitfalls that startups face.
With the excitement for ATI’s FLASH Decision Day mounting, it would be remiss not to acknowledge these Innovators’ hard work and awesome achievements made at the EarthX event earlier this spring. After being selected for the competition out of over 70 applicants, all fiveIMPEL+ Innovators at the EarthX Summit made it to the Climate Tech Pitch Prize semifinals, where they pitched to an audience of 2,600 attendees! The five Innovators include:
Alegna: Building sensor integration and monitoring software platform
eampact: Residential resilience products marketplace
Unboxed: Modular, 3D printed accessible dwelling units
WellStat: Indoor building health control system
Zero: Residential building data extraction for customized decarbonization planning
